đ¨ Veterans Weekend Alert đ¨
Many years ago, Log Cabin Republicans was the lead plaintiff in the lawsuit to repeal President Clinton's "Don't Ask, Don't Tell" policy. In 2011, that policy was officially repealed.
Since then, we have lobbied for the Recover Pride in Service Act to repair less-than-honorable discharges and restore benefits our military veterans lost due to "Don't Ask, Don't Tell".
In parallel to those legislative efforts, Farrell v. Department of Defense was working it's way through the courts. Earlier this year, a settlement was reached in that case.
Eligible veterans may now request corrections to their discharge documentation â specifically, the removal of references to sexual orientation for honorable or uncharacterized discharges â or seek an expedited review for potential discharge upgrades.
If you are a veteran affected by âDonât Ask, Donât Tellâ and are seeking a discharge upgrade, access to benefits, or modification of the narrative on your DD-214, you can do so here:

Military Department Review Boards
The Department of Defense encourages all Veterans who believe they have suffered an error or injustice to request relief from their Military Departmentâs Board for Correction of Military /Naval Records (BCM/NR) or Discharge Review Board (DRB).
