Last Wednesday, the Democrats took to the stage with another debate. Issues that will shape America for the next decade were debated except for one glaring issue: the national debt. It seems like in the age of handouts it is most politically convenient to hide the impending debt crisis from voters. Going into 2020, Don’t Bankrupt America members have a unique opportunity to bring the national debt back to the debate conversation. December 30th, 2033: The third time was the charm for Elizabeth Warren winning the Presidential election of 2032. Warren and the Progressive Democratic Party also rode to historic super majority victories in the House and Senate. Speaker Cortez and President Warren made campaign promises of free healthcare, free college, a wealth tax, stopping the Trump corrupt Supreme Court and most importantly, implementation of Speaker Cortez’s Green New Deal. President Warren credits the American public embrace of Modern Monetary Theory as the major reason for her election. President Warren expects to add the Supreme Court’s 14th and 15th justices before the 2034 midterms, as well as a robust Green New Deal regulatory code.
