Just an aerospace engineer trying to change the galaxy!

The Women in Tech Global Conference brings together women from around the world who are shaping the future of STEM, business, and emerging technologies. 👩🏾‍🔬🦾

I’ll be speaking on: “The High-Performance Equation: Leadership That Drives Results”, a conversation about leadership, team culture, and creating environments where people feel supported, motivated, and empowered to grow.

As someone who once searched for representation in these spaces, being part of conversations like this carries a lot of meaning. 🤍

is bringing humans back to the Moon for the first time in over 50 years , and this mission carries so much history with it. 🌕

The crew includes and , marking a new chapter in who gets to be part of deep space exploration. Together, they’ll travel thousands of miles beyond Earth, orbit the Moon, and help test the systems that will take us even farther in the future.

Re-entry alone reaches speeds of about 25,000 mph, with temperatures hot enough to challenge the limits of engineering, a reminder of how much precision and innovation goes into every second of the mission.

And this Friday, that journey comes back home with a landing off the coast of San Diego 🌊

Moments like this carry progress, possibility, and the power of seeing yourself in places that once felt out of reach. 💫

To infinity and beyond!!! 🤩

Huge congratulations to the incredible crew!

is the pilot for Artemis II, the first crewed mission to the Moon in over five decades. He’s blazing a trail as the first Black man to leave Earth’s orbit and head toward (and past) the lunar surface. His teammate, , is making history as the first woman to do so.

This shot was taken during Black Space Week, hosted by —an inspiring event where I had the honor of speaking at the with my amazing mom there to support. I had the opportunity to encourage the next generation of space explorers. Seeing my mom and Victor together in this picture reminds me that the path we’re on was paved by those whose strength and perseverance came before us.

To every person dreaming of the stars and wondering if they belong: the engines are fired up, and the sky has never been the limit. We’re not just witnessing history; we’re creating it.

Go get ‘em, Victor! ✨🚀🙏🏾

“I would look up and just wonder, what else is out there?”

That curiosity never left, it grew, evolved, and eventually turned into a career in aerospace and a lifelong love for exploration. 💫

Yesterday was the International Day of Women and Girls in Science, and I’m especially grateful to for creating space (literally and figuratively) for girls and women like me to dream boldly, ask big questions, and see ourselves in STEM. Representation matters, and when young girls can see what’s possible, it changes everything.

Thank you for helping keep that sense of wonder alive. 🌌

Honored to be speaking at the Women in Tech Global Conference 2026.

In today’s fast-moving work environment, high-performing teams aren’t built on technical skills alone, they’re built on trust, culture, and leadership that inspires people to show up fully.

I’ll be sharing practical strategies for building teams people genuinely want to follow, fostering collaboration, strengthening trust, and creating cultures that drive exceptional results!

Save the date: May 12–15 ✨

H.B.C.U.
/āCHˌ bēˌ sēˈ, yo͞o/
(noun) A college or university originally founded to educate students of African American descent; a Historically Black College or University.

Before I built rockets or wrote books, I was built by Spelman College.

These photos from the Class of 2012 hold some of the most transformative years of my life. The tradition of the white dress, the final walk in my cap and gown, each moment at shaped the woman I am today.

Being part of the first college established for Black women in the United States is a badge of honor I carry into every boardroom and creative space. Spelman represents excellence, legacy, and possibility. It’s where I learned that being a Black woman in STEM is not an exception, it’s part of building a long-standing tradition.

This Black History Month, I’m celebrating the sisterhood and the school that taught me how to soar.

A special shout-out to my WiSTEM sisters 💕 Thank you for the love, care, and support you’ve shown me over the years. Your sisterhood means the world to me.

What built you? Let me know in the comments 👇🏾💙

Couldn’t have asked for a better way to spend my birthday this year, at STEM Expo 2025 on Girls in Aviation Day! ✈️

I had the honor of joining incredible women in aviation, aerospace, and STEM to inspire 500 girls from across the region. Representation matters so much, when young girls see leaders who look like them in careers where women are still underrepresented, it opens the door for them to imagine what’s possible.

This show is all about reimagining education:
-Exploring how learning is evolving around the world
-Encouraging students, parents, teachers & administrators to collaborate
-Empowering communities with new technologies, hybrid programs & peer leadership

The mission is simple but powerful, to make learning accessible so that every child can learn, regardless of their abilities. 💜

I’m honored to be part of a conversation that inspires change and celebrates the future of education. Hope you’ll tune in!

🎶 Happy birthday to me 💃🏾🌞🎈

Another trip around the sun, and this year I got to celebrate it surrounded by the magic of Cappadocia.

Watching the hot air balloons rise felt symbolic, a reminder to let go, to soar higher, and to embrace the beauty of the journey. Just like those balloons, I’m learning to flow with the winds and believe that where I’m headed is exactly where God meant me to be.

See Syd Soar 💫 here’s to another year of growth, joy, and chasing dreams. The sky was never meant to be my limit. ✨
