For a lot of students, taking standardized tests causes a lot of anxiety. Imani Tutoring, LLC can help students develop a growth mindset, practice mindfulness to reduce stress, learn testing strategies, and complete practice tests.

Does your child struggle with taking standardized tests? Pretty soon your third, fourth, or fifth grader will have to take a state assessment to show if they have made progress in reading.

If your child is in the third grade, this is the first time taking this very important test.

If your child is in the fourth grade, this is the second time taking this very important test.

If your child is in the fifth grade this is only the second time taking this very important test. When they were in third grade the test was waived due to the pandemic.

Some students experience anxiety, a negative mindset, or a lack of test-taking strategies. Imani Tutoring, LLC is providing a six-week ELA Test Preparation focusing on:
Growth Mindset, Mindfulness, Testing Strategies, and Practice Tests. All materials will be provided.

It's a new year...Let me reintroduce myself...I am a teacher, tutor, and mentor. Teaching students to read is my passion and gift!

This is my 20th year of teaching. I currently teach 3rd grade ELA . I am trained in teaching Structured Literacy through , , Wilson Language, and . Through the years I have been able to successfully help struggling readers become proficient readers! I have extensive experience teaching students with Dyslexia and other learning challenges.

I am the owner and founder of Imani Tutoring, LLC. I started because private tutoring provides the intensive one-on-one instruction many students cannot receive in a regular classroom.

Last but not least, I have been a mentor at the for one year. I enjoy equipping teachers with the knowledge they need as they make the journey from Balanced Literacy to Structured Literacy.

Happy Kwanzaa!!!! Today is day 7-Imani.

The last day of Kwanzaa is especially special to me. Imani means faith in Swahili.

I named my business Imani Tutoring, LLC because I have faith in the gift that God gave me to impact the lives of students who have trouble learning to read. Each day, I try to live my life by faith and not by sight. I have faith that Imani Tutoring, LLC will be impactful and profitable!!!
