Last week, D.U.C.C. attended the Eradicate Hate Global Summit in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. We had the opportunity to connect with top experts from around the world and to sit on a panel examining innovations to fight extremism.
During the panel, we screened our award-winning animation "Daniel's First Day", and discussed D.U.C.C., the power of student-designed preventions, & what anti-extremism professionals can bring to the prevention space.
It was an honor to attend the summit & talk about D.U.C.C.'s plan to change the world!

We conducted two focus groups to gauge students’ learning and qualitatively gain testimonials and perspectives from teachers. Our results show that after the lesson activities and watching the short animation, all students who participated knew misinformation is harmful!

While younger students are our target audience, we believe in creating a tool that involves and supports the people who are the backbone of our society- parents and educators. Through lessons and resources based in empathy and human connection, we hope to contribute to creating a society prepared to resist false information in an emotionally intelligent way.
