On his yahrzeit, we remember Elie Wiesel, a survivor of Auschwitz, recipient of the Nobel Peace Prize and Presidential Medal of Freedom, human rights hero, humanitarian and author of over 50 books, including “Night.”

Wiesel co-founded Moment magazine in 1975 to create a venue for independent conversation among America’s Jews, later becoming a friend and mentor to Nadine Epstein after she took over as editor-in-chief in 2004.

In “Elie Wiesel: An Extraordinary Life and Legacy,” Epstein keeps his legacy alive by sharing her memories of Wiesel along with the memories of 36 others who knew him, including Wolf Blitzer, Patrick Desbois, Kati Marton, Natan Sharansky נתן שרנסקי and Oprah Winfrey, along with a foreword by Rabbi Jonathan Sacks and an afterword by Ted Koppel.

The late Supreme Court Justice left behind a trailblazing legacy for women—a legacy inspired by centuries of inspiring and courageous Jewish women. “RBG’s Brave and Brilliant Women: 33 Jewish Women to Inspire Everyone,” written by Moment Magazine Editor-In-Chief in collaboration with Justice Ginsburg, celebrates these women’s stories in the hopes that they will inspire Americans to double down on their efforts to fight for gender equity. Justice Ginsburg selected the women and wrote the introduction.
