Thanks for your continued support of the vision.

September 24, 1976, Trinidad and Tobago becomes a Republic.

A republic, based on the Latin phrase res publica (‘public affair’), is a state in which political power rests with the public through their representatives—in contrast to a monarchy.

Representation in our republic comes from people being freely elected by the general citizenry.

So big ups to our island where every creed and race find an equal place. 🇹🇹 check us out on the new website, vickeysttkitchen.com/home

This is the essence behind Vickey’s Trinidad & Tobago Kitchen. First you eat then you cook. We curate your desired options for your Trinbago cuisine. Choose from our main cultures—Africa, India and China—and enjoy delicious and authentic meals from the Caribbean nation. Then, you learn to cook the main dish.

We will be at the DC Dream Center this weekend to offer holiday baskets as gift ideas and warm meals.

On the menu so far is Pelau, stewed chicken, sancoche (soup), Chinese-style fried legs and lentils to name a few. Hope to see you there. 🇹🇹

What a blessing I received from when I was invited to be one of the chefs at the 20th pastoral anniversary celebration of the Rev. Curry of the Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist Church in Ward 7 in .

It was also the 70th Anniversary of the church. It was a beautiful night of praise and worship and I was honored to serve my neighbors, many of whom attend Pennsylvania Avenue Baptist. I prepped curried chicken with potato and channa with rice. I enjoyed the preparation and the organized event.

And thanks so much to Darlene Ford of the for helping me serve. 🇹🇹 and
