Back at it for our Winter Season with Tinkergarten! ❄️
This season, we’re diving into problem solving, and our little explorers were immediately put to the test. Their mission? Discover how to free our tiny “ice friends” from a winter freeze! From experimenting with warm water, salt, to carefully ...sometimes "forcefully" tapping and observing, they practiced patience, teamwork, and creative thinking — all through joyful, hands-on nature play.
As always, once class begins I’m so immersed in the magic that I forget to take photos — but I truly treasure looking back at our adventures over the years. This season I’m making a conscious effort to capture more of these sweet, curious moments. 💛

This week at Blossoming Buds our theme was bubbles! Bubble sensory play is a delightful and engaging activity that captivates children of all ages. Whether they’re popping bubbles in the air, feeling the slippery texture of bubble foam, or watching the shimmering colors, kids are gaining more than just fun—they’re learning and growing.

Exploring all things balance and beavers today at Tinkergarten.

At Blossoming Buds this week we ventured to the South Pole to learn about penguins. Slip sliding penguins! 🐧 Lots of slippy sudsy sensory play. One of my explorers calls me "Outdoor Katie" now and I think I like that! ❤️❤️❤️

Problem solving at Tinkergarten today. How can we build a cozy nest for hedgehogs? I think it's safe to say the kids nailed it. Some very warm and snuggly looking hedgehogs in class today and with names like Polly, Tugboat, Rainbow, Poky and John.... who wouldn't want to care for these little guys!

Blossoming Buds is back. The little ones were so curious and explorative today. We learned about the Arctic and its animals. So delighted to be back!

And we're back! Yay! Such sweet explorers. We had a beautiful explorative class where we learned about glaciers and ice-worms. Join us next time. We still have some spots in our Friday Blossoming Buds class!
