π§ Efficienteur Hack #4: Use a cloud-based storage application on your desktop and default to saving any and all your files to the app's corresponding folders.
β‘ KEEP YOUR DIGITAL LIFE ORGANIZED AND PROTECTED: Not only will this help keep you organized and make your files accessible from any device, but it'll also ensure that as long as you're connected to the internet, your files are being backed up, automatically!
β
β‘οΈ THERE ARE SO MANY OPTIONS: Many people don't realize these exist but if you simply search "Google Drive desktop", "Dropbox desktop", etc. you'll find links to download these desktop apps. Follow the steps and from there, organize your folders within your computer's file structure in a way that makes them easily accessible and VOILA!
π¬ DM if you're not finding them and/or let me know if an IG live would be helpful here! I recently decided to invest in "Google One" to expand my storage size across all Google products. It's inexpensive and SO worth it. It really takes a large load off my shoulders.

Uh, don't know if y'all heard but...β
β
there's some CRAZY sh*t going down in the stock market right now involving , , , and others. β
β
I truly wasn't planning on dropping my next financial nugget for a bit, but I decided this one just couldn't wait. β
β
β οΈBy the way, even if you have NO idea what I'm talking about, you'll learn soon that a large part of being financially efficient is INVESTING, one way or another.β
β
So here we go...β
β
π§ Efficienteur Hack #3: JFC... please never ever EVER think of a short-term investment as being an extension of your wealth/net worth.β
β
β‘ CHANGE YOUR MINDSET: Instead, think of these types of investments as a purchase you've made that, once you've bought it, you CAN'T return. Here's WHY ππΎβ
β
β‘οΈ IF YOU WANT TO BIG, YOU CAN'T BE REACTIONARY: If you want to grow your wealth, is key. And if you want to go big immediately, that means TAKING RISKS. If you panic sell when the market dips, you're shooting yourself in the FOOT π±π±π±β
β
β οΈShort-term investments range from sports betting to ESPECIALLY, the purchase of one of the riskiest types of , individual stocks.β
β
Listen I get wanting to get in on the hype, but if you aren't ready to risk every penny that you put into a buy, you are going to LOSE out on the highs.β
β
Again, I admit that when it comes to investing I lean more on the riskier side, but it's not because I am a millionaire!!! β
β
Not at all. β
β
It's purely my MINDSET. I have an emergency fund & I'm young. Instead of ordering delivery every day this month, I'm going to instead invest that money. And JUST like the food I could have gotten delivered, I will not be getting that money back, at least not for a while. Get it?β
β
β‘οΈ YOU NEED TO DETACH YOURSELF EMOTIONALLY FROM THE MONEY β¬
οΈ
β
π‘Remember it's a gift to your FUTURE self, not your now.β
β
ππΎππΎππΎ TAG A FRIEND who's interested in investing & COMMENT with your proudest ! Plus, let me know if you have questions for me! Maybe someone else can learn too.β
β
ππΎππΎI'm curious, did any of y'all get in on the rush the last few days with those stocks? I... sort of did?
01/27/2021
Y'all I messed up, UGH π β¬οΈβ
β
I've said this before and I'll say it a million more times: β
I am a lazy perfectionist π₯²β
β
When I launched at the beginning of the month, I went from idea to launch in less than a week, and ever since then, I've been flying by the seat of my pants. For once, instead of overthinking and perfecting and eventually not following through with a personal project, I just.. did it, I launched! β
β
I was so proud of myself. Things seemed to be going well too! But with only about two weeks under my belt, I started feeling a little nervous, a lot exhausted, and even more unsure of what I'd gotten myself into. β
β
So I took a break from posting one day, β
and then another day, β
and then another, β
and another, β
all the while researching and learning to make sure I was approaching this venture as well as I possibly could, until, today: 13. whole. ass. days. later. β
β
I guess I was hoping to come back only once I felt fully comfortable and steadfast in my approach, but eh, I still don't think I'm there, BUT at least I'm back.β
β
π§ β‘οΈ Listen, to me, the most efficient thing to be in life is HONEST. β
β
Honest with yourself, with others... YOURSELF. And if I'm being honest with myself, I use my perfectionism as a shield sometimes to avoid what's hard. I really believe in this project so the thing I'm going to have to keep reminding myself is this:β
β
ππΎ You can't be efficient at that which you NEVER START, duh πβ
β
So I've started and I'll continue but feel free to hold me accountable π β
β
π€‘ WHY SO SERIOUS?! Let's laugh at ourselves a bit, COMMENT BELOW β¬οΈβ¬οΈβ¬οΈβ

Okay, did not think I'd be doing this today but here we go ππ
I decided that I needed to walk the walk and put my money where my mouth is, so to speak (see yesterday's ).
π²After the urging of a friend (THANK YOU ππΎ) in October of 2019, I started investing using and boy am I glad I did.
π€ As of this morning, I'm sitting at a ~57% overall return. Of course this money isn't mine until i trade it, but if I did right at this very moment, it would FAR exceed what my money would've done in a high yield savings account (HYSA) at ~1.5%, and that was the pre-covid rate!!! EFFICIENCY!!! This took MINIMAL work but involved some greatly timed investments.
π I will say, I am certainly on the riskier side of things, opting for individual stocks more often than not. ETFs are always the safest bet, but I only recently brought up that percentage in my Robinhood portfolio to 27%.
BUT DON'T WORRY...
If any of this confuses you, you are not alone, I PROMISE. We will be talking about this stuff & how to make the learning process as painless as possible, or at least I think so ;)
π²So you're probably wondering, uh Eden, you said talk numbers but you're hiding yours?! Okay yes great point.
If you DM me, I'll give you straight up number, but for right now in our journey, I want to hide these numbers because I want to get one major point across:
You do NOT βββ need to invest much to make it worth your while. Start with what you can ($25?) & go from there. In fact some will say I'm not investing a lot π

This week over IG stories, 60% of you told me you wanted the next to be on , many mentioning your investing & budgeting woes. So you might be surprised to see this one is on NEITHER.
π§ Efficienteur Hack #2: TALK ππΎ ABOUT ππΎ MONEY ππΎ
β‘ If you're not talking openly & honestly with your friends, you're losing money β period. Here's WHY ππΎ
β‘οΈ KNOWLEDGE IS POWER: You know who gains when you DON'T talk about money? Not you, I'll tell you that. Helping each other out TODAY, doesn't just help you now. The results of investing/saving/negotiating today COMPOUND, literally. So the sooner you're in the know and the sooner you're motivated to actually take action, the better.
This is the first tip I'm giving because it was the most immediately effective method that helped kick my financial butt into SHAPE πͺπΎπͺπΎπͺπΎ I'm not going to lie to y'all, I learned the difference between retirement accounts, types of savings, investing stategies, etc. FROM MY FRIENDS. From there, I could do more digging on my own because I knew what I was looking for. Together we make it fun and keep each other motivated to learn & do even more! Now I'm constantly having these conversations. In fact, my office no joke has a Slack channel solely dedicated to telling each other about the latest bank deals, investment tips, HYSAs, etc. π
This that says talking money is TACKY has GOT TO GO βββ
We have nothing to lose, and everything to gain π€π€π€
My next-level suggestion? Find 1-2 friends you can trust & be COMPLETELY transparent with, with no shame or jealousy involved, to the point where you're comfortable enough to talk NUMBERS with! This person(s) can give you tailored advice to help you gameplan your upcoming salary negotiation, savings accounts, investing strategy, etc. I have these friends & it makes a WORLD of difference.
ππΎππΎππΎ TAG A FRIEND & COMMENT with your proudest (i.e. opened a , started , hit my target savings $, etc.) OR things you hope to learn more about! Start talking money NOW & maybe you could teach someone something new in this very comment section!

YOOO has this week been about 10 years or was it just me? ππ The 20's will not allow us to be great π
FORTUNATELY, nobody has to get the permission of a CALENDAR YEAR to be great βββ
So have you set your 2021 actionables (not goals!) yet? No?? Well let's get to it.
STOP AVOIDING, START DOING. Keep your eyes on the prize and don't let the events of this week and others like it get in the way of your goals and stop you from being GREAT.
π§ β‘ REMEMBER: Be honest with yourself, only you know what you're capable of. Make your actionables concrete, quantifiable, realistic, and just the RIGHT amount of challenging. Focus on what you CAN do, not what you SHOULD do. Don't waste time getting frustrated and disappointing yourself this year.. as the great Shea LaBeouf will tell you, JUST DO IT.
Checkout my story and find, screenshot, and fill out the 2021 actionables. Share with your friends so you can help hold each other accountable! Oh and tag me too! Want to see what our community is working towards.

I'm thrilled to be unveiling the first of MANY so to start us off, I thought we'd π at those of yours.
π§ Hack #1: Start small or NEVER start -- the decision is yours to make.
β‘ If your goals aren't realistic & quantifiable, they're nothing. Break them down into smaller, more actionable pieces, and now you've got a plan that you can actually ACT on & actually get excited about! Not one you'll beat yourself up for when you INEVITABLY fail.
β‘οΈ BE HONEST WITH YOURSELF. You are the ONLY one who knows what you're truly capable of achieving. And remember, something is better than NOTHING. Shoot for the π & land amongst the stars or whatever.
Listen, I'm beyond guilty of this. The 3rd image is a screenshot of my failed reading challenges over the years. Clearly, it was not in the cards for me to succeed, and tbh I KNEW that every. single. time.
So this year I asked myself, what's a goal I can actually hit that's not completely unrealistic? I decided reading 5 fun books before 2022 felt like the right amount of CHALLENGING & DOABLE.
So instead of:
β I'll be healthier.
β
I'll cook for myself 3 times a week, walk at least 30 minutes a day, etc.
β I'll read more.
β
I'll read one book per month, week, etc.
β I'll save a lot of money.
β
I'll save $10,000, setup recurring payments to myself, invest $500 in ETFs, open a Roth IRA and max it out, I'll order delivery 2x a month max, etc.
OR break your goals down by time:
β
"By the end of January, February, March, etc. I'll have done X, Y, and Z."
COMMENT BELOW & TAG A FRIENDππΎππΎππΎ What are some of your goals for #2021?? Let's work together to clean them up and make your goals as ACTIONABLE as possible! Or drop a β€οΈ if you found this helpful!

You'll be able to quickly recognize which category a tip falls under based off of the color of the border of a post. This post and the story highlights at the top of this profile can be your key π
Before I launched this project, I surveyed a pool of people to figure out what they most wanted to improve in their lives. I'll share some of those results later but my main takeaway was that some of the major pain points folks have nowadays relate to maintaining & creating strong relationships, as well as growing outside of our careers. So you know we'll be talking about these things a lot!

Before we really get into it, did you notice something?? ππΎππΎππΎ
Do you see anything at all about SPEED in this definition? NO β
Being efficient is NOT about being quick (at least not in the short-term). It's about executing in a way where everyππΎ singleππΎ stepππΎ is INTENTIONAL.
I want to set the tone for y'all right here, right now. We're not messing around. It's time to start working πͺπΎ
