Black girl magic!✨ In April 2022, Jessica Watkins of Lafayette, Colorado, aged 33, became the first Black woman on the International Space Station. 🚀
Watkins joined SpaceX Crew-4, living on the ISS for 6 months, her first space mission after working on Mars research.
Watkins, inspired by icons like Mae Jemison and Sally Ride, aims to inspire children of color to explore space.
