Interpretation Service at the Border!

In the Courts of the District of Columbia, interpreters are required to adhere to a strict Code of Ethics. Here are its main canons:
1- Qualifications.
2- Accuracy.
3- Conflict of Interest and Impartiality.
4- Duty to Report Inaccuracies.
5- No Advocacy/Legal Advice.
6- Confidentiality.
7- Restriction on Public Comment.
8- Dignity of the Court.
9- No remuneration from other than the court.
10- Impediments to Compliance with Code of Ethics.
Court interpreters are also required to complete a specific number of continuing education points every year. See below certificate for a continuing education course administered by the Office of Court Interpreting Services for the District of Columbia:
