You should not be alone.
You don’t need to be alone.
Please don’t go.

Most of the evil in this world derives from people’s selfish desires and when we isolate ourselves they only embolden more. Today, we are all chasing our desires, and think it is a good thing. But that is a lie, our (self-)interests are only as good or safe as we (our minds) are, and even that is very subjective! Submitting to the word of God means having an ultimate guide to truth and love for an elevated mindset and lifestyle. Not through a religion but a relationship, with God.

Your lack of self-control is the reason you lack. šŸ‘‡šŸ½

Exercising Self-control:

šŸ’«Grants you the ability to acknowledge and experience your emotions
šŸ’«Empowering you to manage feelings effectively and prevent impulsive reactions
šŸ’«It facilitates making wiser choices, and minimizing the likelihood of future regrets

Food for thought šŸ˜‹

Why do we always think we are missing out?! It’s because we have a whole in our hearts the size of the universe.

This is because it’s a place holder for nothing other than God all mighty himself. We are craving to be filled with our jobs, loved ones, money, etc. because by design we were made to worship. We are idol making factories, but we are constantly prioritizing the wrong thing due to our lack of self-control. What we worship, and ultimately what we put our trust in are crucial to our well being. Try Jesus.

Breaking mind loops and bad habits:

🧠 Contrary to popular belief, denying your self is a great way to practice self-control

Let the light in! šŸ™šŸ½šŸ’«

Your mind has the ability to create it’s own reality. And our thought can remain in a constant loop! Especially when negative, this repetitive pattern consumes energy and hinders our ability to make progress.

God wants more for you.
God has giving us the tools.

It starts with surrender. Trust God with your life. Pray, seek him, and read his word, our mind can be changed through repetition and emotions. You can do this!

What’s a mind loop? šŸ‘‡šŸ½

A Cognitive Emotive Loop refers to a recurring cycle in which our thoughts and beliefs generate emotions that reinforce our conviction in our own narratives.

These emotions, in turn, amplify our feelings, perpetuating the cycle. This repetitive pattern consumes energy and hinders our ability to make progress.

Cognitive Emotive Loops are a common phenomenon that causes humans to become trapped in unproductive patterns.

To break up your thought pattern and transform your life the word of God gives us the key to not conforming to this world!

Romans 12:2

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

Mental illness is the norm today but God can set us apart! Take back control of your mind, and trust it to the one who created you.

There are limits to science, though it is certainly important, science often answers the question ā€œHowā€, leaving out the ā€œWhyā€.

It can explain what happened, but can never determine how one ought to live.

The often left-out piece is given to us by our creator. God provides us guidance and boundaries to live with purpose and protection.

My biggest ā€œtrust God scaredā€ moment(outside of the many other principles I learned in studying scripture), was my decision to remain celibate until marriage. Afraid to be unable to keep a man without seggs, I kept true to the word of God. It took a lot of mental fortitude, but ultimately I just trust God’s character. Godā€˜s timing was perfect and I met the love of my life who was willing to wait and found a deeper connection with God in the process of his wait.

God’s words are principles, sometimes it’s not so much what you do, but how you do it. Giving something up always leaves room for something else to come in; the important thing is having faith for that God is doing a good thing, something better than you could ever think or imagine! Because the same God that wants to bless you made the clouds and the moon and the stars. I pray that we would give God a chance to blow our minds and trust the process.

ā€œOpen the blinds! It’s dark in hereā€ -You šŸ‘‡šŸ½
Like a window, our eyes let light into our minds and heart. What we consume (watch) will fill us with light or allow us to live in the dark (negativity, anxiety, depression).

Here are some habits to avoid to keep your mind bright!

•Tip #1 Don’t start your day with the news!
Starting our days with our phones or diving into the news immediately upon waking up can have several negative effects on our well-being and productivity. The barrage of information (which can be overwhelmingly negative) can lead to increased anxiety, stress, and a sense of being overwhelmed right from the beginning of the day. Our mornings should ideally be a time for relaxation, reflection, and setting a positive tone for the day ahead.

Tip #2 Stop excessive social media use. Too much of anything is not good for you. Spending excessive amounts of time on social media can lead to feelings of comparison, low self-esteem, and decreased productivity. It's important to set limits on social media usage and prioritize real-life interactions and activities.

Tip #3 Don’t underestimate the power of reading your Bible. Our minds are programmed by repetition and emotions. Making the word of God a part of your routine will help to shape your mind and break negative mind loops that have filled your life with darkness for too long!

Quote by from his book God’s Not Dead.

An amazing book and insight on the human condition and how to productively wrestle with our unbelief (and unbelievers) and find ourselves closer to God then ever before.

ā€œThe most incomprehensible thing about the universe is that it is comprehensible.ā€ā€“ Albert Einstein

Inspired by "God's Not Dead" by Rice Brooks, let’s reflect on the profound idea that faith is truly the product of thinking. šŸ’āœØ

Therefore, reasoning (not to be confused with your emotions)should lead you closer to God, not away from Him.

It's a concept that challenges us to dive deeper into our beliefs and explore the incredible connection between reason and spirituality.

In a world bustling with ideas and diverse perspectives, let's remember that faith isn't blind. It's the outcome of a journey that combines introspection, reflection, and genuine inquiry into who God is.

🌱 When we engage our minds and ask the tough questions, we strengthen our faith and build a foundation that withstands the storms of doubt. We discover that our beliefs are fostered by reason, and that knowledge deepens our connection to Jesus.

Under attack and it’s self-inflicted?!

Make choices that will support you in a crisis.

Your subconscious mind is programmed by feelings and repetition; and is responsible for 95% of our actions, rituals, and fears. In a state of crisis or during trials, you can only do what you know, you’ll do what is in your heart.

This can be used positively to change your habits, or it can be dangerous āš ļø to our well-being if our thoughts get stuck on negativity.

We are promised a renewed mind and heart through the word and impact of surrendering to the word of God. Changing our habits, emotional wiring, and letting go of things we can control.

Keep your heart with all vigilance, for from it flow the springs of life.
Proverbs 4:23

And I will give you a new heart, and a new spirit I will put within you. And I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh.
Ezekiel 36:26

The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately sick; who can understand it?
Jeremiah 17:9
