The light in Autumn 🍂 is different when it’s is a blaze of gold, it is a quieter cool blue. There is something calming about the cool quiet of autumn. It is a time for introspection but also celebration 🎉 of bounty.

Silver that’s been aged, have a myriad of the most beautiful colors. A favorite cup of mine is ceramic glazed in silver. Over the years of being held it has taken on the color of my touch and the air. It compliments the gold of autumn perfectly. 🍁🍵🙏⛅️

Creating space for yourself can be as simple as a piece of paper. For my tea classes I use a piece or origami paper. But it can as simple as a white copy paper. Today I shared some home made mung bean desert with my class. It complimented the tea well. 🥮🍵🌈🌸🌿🌱

Out on a morning walk today ⛅️I realized that the source of zen rock gardens is nature itself. By my foot 🦶 is an unassuming patch of grass and rocks, but the hand of nature already have placed them into the perfect zen rock 🏔positions. And crowned her creation with the hidden shell of an cicada nymph🎍it made me smile, how insignificant our human artistry compared to even the most careless gestures in nature. 🌸🍵🌈🌱🍁

Good morning 🌞 morning teas are back. I have been developing a new ritual for myself during these weeks I have been offline. Setting up my bedroom to accommodate a small corner of peace. It’s amazing how a little change in our physical space affects our mind. Even if it is just a corner when it is filled with the books and objects you love 💕, and a place to just be with yourself- you feel so much more at ease. Make room (literally) for yourself. 🌈🏔🌱🌸🍵

Waste not! Premium Greens and white teas have a shorter shelf lives and should be kept refrigerated in airtight container for maximum preservation of flavor. But if you have too much tea 🍵 (my sin!) don’t threw them away, cold brew them! The best teas are brewed hot for maximum release of flavor and health benefits but if your tea is a bit (or a lot!) past production date they are still good for cold brewing. Simply get an attractive bottle and use filtered water or spring water at room temperature. They are still good for many brews and perfect for summer days! 🌱🍵🏔🌸🤫🍃

Lavender grass and a broken teacup 🍵 sits in my office today. Fresh from the garden they are the scent of summer. A broken teacup still can be used, if you don’t mind it’s imperfections, it can share it’s beauty with you. 🏔🌸🍃🌈🍵

Puerh tea 🍵leaves 🍃are much bigger than other varieties because they grow on trees 🌳 rather than tea bushes. This makes picking them quite a challenge! Literally the pickers have to be expedient trees climbers 🧗‍♂️ which makes every basketful precious. 🧺🌱🏔🌈
