Are you traveling for Fall Break and can't go to the Pack the Pantries event in town? Consider donating to the Washington Community Pantry through our wishlist.

It's getting very empty and as we get into the holiday season and breaks, it will be needed more than ever.

We know you are asked to donate a lot, but this is a project that is important to us and our community.

The students had a blast spending an afternoon playing outside and enjoying soccer, volleyball, jump roping, and dancing! We couldn’t have asked for better weather for the Hornet Hike!

Dance party!

10/02/2026

Your students will be coming home with some awesome Washington water bottles today to celebrate the annual Hornet Hike.

We’ve had many questions about why students won’t be receiving t-shirts this year. This has been something we’ve long debated with the PTO and staff. The cost of shirts is around $3,000 + and it has become impossible to manage accurate sizing and we can’t afford to order extra shirts to fix sizing that day.

If you are passionate about bringing back shirts to a Washington event, we encourage you to join us at the next PTO meeting on Wednesday, November 18th at 4:30 pm.

This is a critical meeting because we have concerns about the sustainability of the PTO as we have had no one step up to take over leadership for the next academic year and both our president and treasurer will be leaving in May.

Thank you for your support and we look forward to sharing photos today from our revamped Hornet Hike—yes, the rumors are true, there’s going to be a dance party and dj this year!

The community pantry at Washington needs your help.

We hope to have this fully stocked for fall break.

Please donate any non perishable foods you’re able to.

We’ve tried to make it easy with a wish list that sends items right to the school for us to unload in the pantry.
