Our second annual WHRHS senior Maija Golden Rebel Scholarship was awarded tonight to Avery Noerr. Avery will be going to Montclair State this fall and is an amazingly talented girl with a big heart. We wish her all the best in college and in the future and so does Brooke Stanicki who came out tonight as well. Brooke was our first recipient last year. She just concluded her first year of college at Johns Hopkins.

This is Maija’s grandma Carol. She’s touched and proud to get her own copy of our first journal. She’s a lifelong avid reader, but no book has touched her as this as it’s also dedicated to one of her best friends. Now available on Amazon, http://a.co/7lFnGhI

Over 100 poems were submitted this year from some fantastic writers in the Long Hill, Green Brook, Warren and Watchung school districts! Please come enjoy some refreshments, poetry readings and the launch of our first book this Friday 5/18 at the Long Hill Township Library 3:30-4:30. Please feel free to bring a poem of your own to read as well. All are welcome!
