This month, kids at The Home in Walpole and Clifford Academy laced up for the at-home edition of the ASICS Falmouth Road Race!

Staff and youth took part in running-based activities, learned about the benefits of exercise and worked together toward a shared mileage goal. Our efforts ended in a lively fun run, with colorful stations and celebrations along the route. In total, our community ran an incredible 724 laps—or 60.3 miles! Our top runner completed an amazing 12.75 miles. 👏

Beyond the miles, the group also raised funds to support The Home’s programs and services for kids and families, making this year’s activities a meaningful way to give back to our community.

Join us in hitting our Falmouth Road Race fundraising goal! 🏃‍♂️

This week, students are lacing up to participate in the at-home edition of this year’s ASICS Falmouth Road Race to learn about the benefits of running and raise funds for The Home for Little Wanderers!

Our students have been busy recording their laps to reach our mileage goal before the end of the week, and tomorrow, we will celebrate the end of our running efforts with a Fun Run for our residential youth. 🖌️🫧

This is the second year in a row that our students have participated in the Falmouth Road Race. They are so excited to have DOUBLED their fundraising goal from last year, aiming to raise $1,500 to benefit the services, experiences and opportunities for youth at Clifford Academy.

Last year, the Catskill Mountain Antique Engine and Machinery Club INC. donated a beautiful batch of hemlock wood to Clifford Academy—and our students have been putting it to great use ever since! 🪵

During Learn N Earns, students transformed the wood into a variety of pieces that now enhance our campus, including an Adirondack chair, water table, raised beds and signage.

We are so grateful to the Catskill Mountain Antique Engine and Machinery Club for this generous donation and for helping provide our students with meaningful opportunities to build together. Thank you for helping turn raw materials into hands-on learning. 🔨

On Friday, June 5, Clifford Academy celebrated our Class of 2026! 🎓

For this group, graduation is a milestone that represents years of hard work and personal growth. Our staff has been fortunate to witness them achieve their goals over the course of many years. As Principal Chahar told our students, “The road to this day required grit. You did not quit. You did not give up, and you learned how to advocate.”

Prom 2026 was one to remember! 🕺💃 On May 29, our gym was filled with music and laughter, as Clifford Academy students showed off their best dance moves, enjoyed fun, collaborative games and made memories that will last a lifetime.

Through a recent partnership with The Let's Give It Up Foundation and the Mass Cultural Council, youth from The Home in Walpole spent six weeks writing and recording their own original song alongside trained therapists and music educators. 🎶

This was an incredible learning and confidence-building experience for our kids, and they were thrilled with how the tracks came out!
