We’re getting ready to start planning Be Inclusive’s 2026 Diwali Celebration, and we’re looking for volunteers to help make this year’s celebration another meaningful and joyful event for our community! The event is scheduled for Saturday October 24th from 4-7 PM.

There are two ways to get involved:

From celebrating culture and identity to creative pop‑ups and neighborhood events, we’ve spent the summer building connection, joy, and real impact — and we’re not done yet.

We are looking for passionate volunteers to help us keep uplifting marginalized voices, supporting anti-racist education, and bringing diverse, representative books into local classrooms. Another role we're looking to fill:

📖 General MBI Team Member (2–3 hrs/month, remote) Suggest and review diverse children's books for our monthly school bundles, and join a short virtual meeting each month. Perfect if you love kids' books and want a lower-commitment way to get involved.

Create and manage content across our social platforms and help maintain our website! Ideal for someone creative, up-to-date on DEI conversations, and comfortable with design tools like Canva.

Throw on some sunscreen and toss the burgers on the grill because we're planning an end-of-summer LGBTQIA+ BBQ! On August 29th, from 1 pm-5 pm at Memorial Park Beach in Sharon, MA, join a celebratory group of qu**rs and allies for a potluck-style cookout. All are welcome at this family-friendly event to eat, play lawn games, listen to music, swim, and have an all-around fun time! We encourage attendees to bring some food for the potluck, but it is not required. RSVP is recommended, but not required.

We are honored to share that Be Inclusive has received a $5,000 donation from the Sarah Brown Livesey Foundation to support our ongoing work in the community. Sarah Livesey was a vibrant, heart-centered person, passionate about causes that promoted equity, well-being, and the alleviation of suffering. Her life continues on through donations such as this, creating a ripple effect of healing in the world.
