Can I share a secret with you?

One of my greatest shortcomings is that I’m a perfectionist. It affects my cooking, business, relationships and even parenting! 😨

A common struggles for me is choosing a restaurant to eat at. 😂 It sounds so silly but it is so hard sometimes and if I feel like I chose the “wrong” place, it messes up my whole mood. I’m so thankful that my husband isn’t affected like I am and he always encourages me to just enjoy what is in front of me instead of focusing on the negative and the “potential/it could have beens.”

Hi there! Since we have some new friends, now seems like a great time to reintroduce ourselves. 🙋🏻‍♀️

I'm Tiffany. As an American born Chinese mom, I struggled to teach my children Chinese. I was aware of the importance of reading but many of the books in Asia were above my reading level. 😭 I knew I had found the perfect tool when I came across bilingual books! So I made the decision to create Lele and Monkey.

I sincerely hope that my books and podcast will prove to be helpful in your Chinese learning journey!

Some facts about my little muses 👧🏻👦🏻:

Lele is really into Pokémon, thinks yellow is the best, and loves eating apples.

Meimei likes Hello Kitty and Olaf, and oranges are her most favorite fruit.

I ordered Lele Goes Out to Play when my daughter was around a year old-- now she's 18 months, and she's always pulling it off the shelf to have me read it with her. I speak Cantonese and Mandarin, but can't read or write-- it's hard to find books that cater to this, and I'm so grateful that you created one! Definitely plan on ordering the other book as well. Just know that your stories are spreading joy all the way to Newfoundland and Labrador. :)”

It was so sweet to wake up to this message in my inbox. 🥹 Since I don’t have a photo of Elaine’s daughter, I’ll reminisce about that age with photos of my kids at 18 months. 🤭 I really miss having them this small!
