The CNYCA 2026 Lunar New Year Celebration embraced the vibrant spirit of a traditional New Year market fair by taking place before the New Year’s Day — just as families would historically shop and prepare for the festivities ahead.
This year saw a substantial increase in merchant booths, bringing new energy, color, and excitement to the festival. The lively marketplace atmosphere truly captured the joy and anticipation of the season.
A new outdoor stage featured continuous performances that energized the crowd and drew people into the festive mood, building their excitement to head inside the auditorium for even more cultural programs and entertainment.
A wonderful celebration of tradition, community, and the spirit of welcoming the New Year together.

Today marks the 15th day of the Twelfth Lunar Month, signaling that there are just 15 days remaining before Lunar New Year. In China, this period traditionally begins the year-end wrap-up.
In the business world, it is a time to chase outstanding accounts receivable, finalize books, and prepare year-end bonuses for employees.
It is also the season for year-end dinners, hosted before employees and friends return to their hometowns for the New Year.
At the Lunar New Year markets, families purchase all the necessities for the upcoming celebrations—food, decorations, gifts, and offerings—ensuring the household is fully prepared to welcome the New Year.
This us CNYCA is celebrating the year end with the spirit of Lunar New Year market.

This year’s event will take place on February 7, 2026 — ten days before Lunar New Year — in the spirit of a festive New Year market. The celebration will feature merchants offering a wide variety of provisions, treats, and cultural items for families preparing for the holiday. We particularly welcome merchants to join, making our event more colorful with merchandise. This year marks the 29th year the event. It was created for the community of Sacramento area so that they didn't have to travel all the way to San Francisco to enjoy the spirit of the Lunar new year.

CNYCA participated in the 4th Golden Harvest Parade with our own beautifully decorated float and full force of our board members. This year, CNYCA will celebrate the Chinese New Year on Feb 7, 2026, 10 days before the first day before the lunar year in the spirit or making it a new year market, providing a market place for merchants and people who need to buy their new year provisions.
