Still energized from the packed May 1 session on strength‑based MLL assessment.

So grateful for the collaboration, the questions, and the shared commitment to equity across CASP, OCASP, and RASP.

Our students deserve this work.

CASP advocates for school psychs at the state level. That's why I'm part of the organization. That's where my membership money goes. I'm passionate about this field so I stay involved.

I know this field can be very stressful and overwhelming, but that's why I love connecting with you through social media platforms. We're not alone and we can't do it all. We do the best we can. For everything else advocates for us.

If you haven't checked out CASP's legislative day. You should!

During a reevaluation do you ever see that a student no longer has a discrepancy between their academics and cognitive ability? This can be confusing and difficult for teams to determine if a student should continue with IEP services.

Steps should include:
⭐ Does the student still exhibit the same processing deficits which impact academics,
⭐ determine if there are any new challenges,
⭐ Would the student regress without continued support?
⭐ Could the student succeed with only accommodations?

Trying to find information or buying books can be a hassle and expensive.

One of the best pieces of advice I received in undergrad was to not buy books until the second week. I would go to the bookstore, get all the bills I needed for class and hide them in a different section (so they wouldn't sell out). I would check with other students if they still had the books. Instead of selling the books back to the school I would buy them. The other student got more money back and I got the books cheaper. A week later I would go back to the bookstore and buy whatever I needed.

Lines were shorter and less crowded.

In grad school it was so much more expensive and worse.

⭐ I've found that there are amazing people doing work to publish as many resources as possible for free!

⭐ Publishers are there to make money, Researchers just want their work read.

⭐ I've gone many counseling books and workbooks through these sites.

⭐ Check out these websites that have many books and articles for free.

Track assessment for the year in one sheet. Sheet is able to autocalculate ages and 60 day timelines based on your district calendar. This form is color coordinated, when consent is returned it will highlight the student being assessed. Sheet will also help you track where you are in the process of assessment. Second sheet in file has the 60 day timeline. You can edit the dates to reflect dates from your own district (do not delete the second sheet, otherwise the 60 day timeline will not work).

Now with 60 day auto calculator and automatically eliminate holiday dates!

Getting ready for the school year by creating logs for each counseling student.

This helps me keep track of what we did and what we will work on the following week.

Automatically add up minutes by month and total for the year.

The updated version is now available in my store. If you have purchased this already, reclick the link to make a new copy.
