🏒💜 HAWK ALUMNI SPOTLIGHT: JORDAN BENKERT! 💜🏒

Once a HAWK, always a HAWK! 🦅

This week, we’re catching up with former HAWK player Jordan Benkert, who is now playing hockey for Reeths-Puffer in Muskegon!

🏒 Favorite HAWK memories?
The friendships and unforgettable times hanging out with teammates in hotel pools and lobbies during tournaments!

💪 How did HAWK prepare him?
Jordan credits HAWK Hockey with developing his hockey IQ and teaching him where to be on the ice.

⭐ His advice to younger players?
“Always play hard every game, even if you’re up or down by a lot, because you never know who’s watching. Never give up on a play!”

💜 What does being a HAWK mean to him?
After spending almost his entire hockey career with HAWK, Jordan says the friendships he made mean everything, and he wouldn’t change a thing!

👏 Jordan’s message to our current players: Enjoy every moment wearing that HAWK jersey. It goes by fast!

We’re proud to have been part of your hockey journey, Jordan! Keep working hard and making HAWK Nation proud! 🦅🏒

If you are a Hawk alumni and would like to have a spotlight, please DM us!

🏒 COACH SPOTLIGHT: TRAVIS NICHOL 10U black and & 8U 🏒

Time to get to know another one of the coaches behind HAWK Hockey! 💜

⭐ Meet Coach Travis Nichol!

🏒 Coaching Experience:
Coach Travis has been coaching hockey since he was just 18 years old, working with players from Mites all the way through Varsity. He’s served as both a Varsity Head Coach and Assistant Coach, trains players of all ages and skill levels, and has coached several other sports along the way. He also serves as the Athletic Director at Coopersville High School and is excited to be back behind the bench this season coaching our HAWK Sq**rt team!

💜 Favorite Part of Coaching:
For Coach Travis, it’s not about one big win or championship—it’s the relationships. Watching players grow on and off the ice and then seeing former players graduate, build careers, start families, and succeed in life is what makes coaching so rewarding.

🎣 Off the Ice:
Sports are still a huge part of his life, but when he gets some downtime, you’ll most likely find him with his family, at one of his kids’ activities, or out fishing! And according to Coach Travis, sitting still isn’t really his thing. 😂

We’re lucky to have Coach Travis sharing his experience and passion with the next generation of HAWK players! 🏒💜

Drop a 💜 in the comments and help us show Coach Travis some HAWK love!
