Hi everyone! We're into March 2023, and time to update about our 50th (where HAS the time gone?!?) WHS reunion. The date is set for June 10th, 2023 (the same date of our graduation!) at the Crystal Community Club (3C's) banquet hall in Wakefield. The night's festivities will begin with a cocktail reception/social hour from 5-6, and a buffet dinner (menu and price are not set yet, but caterer is booked, $ has done many events for 3C's; comes highly recommended by Kevin, the banquet manager), music, entertainment (& maybe class of '73 trivia?) continue til 10. There are several people who have offered to help, and I will be taking them up to help on one of three committees... publicity and contact info, reservations and ticket sales, and "day of" help...decorating, hall set up, hosting/collecting tickets, etc. Right now I'm still working on an email list, but need MANY more names, so if you have been in touch with anyone, please have them text or email to me ([email protected]) the best address or email to reach them. Beth Hanson-Galvin has offered to create an updated class "booklet," so she will be requesting info and contacting those on the email list as well.
Phone calls (or maybe zoom meetings) are most likely the easiest way to meet and plan initially, and in May, there'll be a committe meeting at the hall to finalize and check details. I'm really looking forward to this, and know it'll be a great time...just getting together and seeing if we're "still crazy after all these years" will make for a great night!
