💜 Wishlist Wednesday 💜

Wishlist Wednesday is our chance to highlight some of the needs & (on occasion) the wants that help us better support those we serve.

✨️ This week’s featured wishlist items can be found at the local Walmart or Dollar Tree stores!

We are in need of items to stock our community pantry box, this summer it has been getting a lot of use.

Ideas:
➡️ hygiene items; hair brushes, shampoo, conditioner, bodywash, loofahs, toothbrush, toothpaste
➡️ easy prep foods; microwave rice or pasta packets, cereal, oatmeal packets, Individual snacks, pasta sauces
➡️ Bibles
➡️ journals
➡️ school supplies
➡️ paper goods; TP & Kleenex
Please keep in mind, the box is not temperature controlled and it does get HOT 🔥

✨ Spotlight Saturday ✨

This week, we'd like to recognize Sam Robasse. For those who may not know, Sam is Amanda's husband and has been an important part of Open Hearts Home from the very beginning.

When people see the progress of OHH, they often see the vision, the programs, and the work being done in the community. What they may not see are the countless hours, projects, and sacrifices that help make it all possible.

From home improvements and renovations to tackling whatever comes next, Sam has always been willing to step in and help. While Amanda has poured her heart into building and growing the organization, Sam has faithfully stood beside her as together, they answer the calling God placed on her heart, offering his support and helping create a place where young mothers can find hope, healing, and a fresh start.

Thank you, Sam, for your servant's heart, unwavering support, and the many ways you've helped make Open Hearts Home a place where young families can begin a new chapter. Your dedication has touched more lives than you may ever know. ❤️

🤍 Who is Eligible for Open Hearts Home? 🤍

We are often asked what age range Open Hearts Home serves, so we wanted to share a quick clarification.

Open Hearts Home provides transitional housing and support for pregnant and parenting mothers ages 21 and under.

While we truly wish we could provide housing for every mother in need, our residential program is specifically designed for mothers ages 21 and under. This allows us to provide age-specific support, education, resources, and guidance during a critical stage of life.

If you are over the age of 21, please know we still want to support you however we can. While you may not qualify for our residential program, we may be able to help by providing baby essentials, connecting you with childcare resources, offering encouragement and support, or helping you find other community resources that best fit your family’s needs.

Our heart is to serve families and connect mothers with the support they deserve. If you’re unsure whether you qualify or have questions, we’d love to hear from you. Please don’t hesitate to reach out. 💗
