Decolonizing Hawaiian Schools Aloha. Schooling in Hawaii has a long record of being spaces of oppression, colonization, and serving the interests of white settler ideologies.

Unfortunately, much of this remains even in our "Hawaiian culture-based" institutions where Hawaiian voices are shut out by Western priorities. This page intends to disrupt these practices and start real conversations about Hawaiian culture-based education and how to truly make this happen instead of giving lip service to it.
