Mr. Horne and Mr. Smith-Maxwell have accomplished the Certified Associate Python Programmer certification. The PCAP is a professional, high-stakes credential that measures the candidate's ability to perform intermediate-level coding tasks in the Python language. This high-level of understanding is providing opportunities for high-wage jobs. Job well done, students and Ms. Deberry.

Students in Mr. Facey’s Carpentry pathway explored future opportunities at SPCC for careers in the trades, including Welding, HVAC, Carpentry, and electrical systems. 💵

CTE internships and pre-apprenticeships are work-based learning courses that place students in real workplace settings to help students develop and apply career-related knowledge and skills in a specific field aligned with interests, abilities, and goals. These AHS students presented with awe and enthusiasm about their experiences as interns and pre-apprentices.
Such a great group of students. We know their future is full great things to come. Job well done!

Congratulations to Mr. Brown Huntley, our 2026–2027 Anson County Schools CTE Teacher of the Year!

Mr. Huntley is an incredible asset to our Career and Technical Education program and to Anson High School. Through Automotive Technology, he is doing so much more than teaching students about vehicles and repairs…he is helping prepare them for real careers, valuable certifications, and successful futures beyond graduation.

His impact reaches far beyond the classroom, and this recognition being earned multiple times speaks volumes about the consistency, dedication, and excellence he brings to our district.

Anson County Schools is proud to celebrate Mr. Huntley and the difference he continues to make in the lives of students every single day. Congratulations!

Anson High School’s first Early Childhood interns lead by Mrs Y. Spencer to a great Finish. Thanks to Oasis kingdom Kids Learning Center, Morven Elementary School, Wadesboro Elementary and Partnership for Children for taking on the task of providing a professional experience for our students.

We had the privilege of working with the incredible students from Anson High School who are passionate about early childhood education. These dedicated young learners worked tirelessly to master childcare basics and gained valuable hands-on experience at local early learning facilities. We're so proud of what they've accomplished and can't wait to see where their passion takes them next! 🌟👶📚
