Well... we finally bought into the Elf on the Shelf magic at the kids' insistence, but mama couldn't pay those prices, so mama got out her yarn and found a pattern, and voila... 🎄✨
Now I just have to figure out what to do with these guys for the next 20 days......

I can't believe how the sensitivity in my fingers has changed... After a year of working only with cotton yarn, this acrylic yarn feels like nails on a chalkboard to me now! 😫
I'm test knitting a super cute headband/ cowl/ hat combo pack for and thought I'd just grab some cheap acrylic yarn for my first knit after the wedding dress... But this mama is going to have to go back to the store (or dig in the stash) to find some natural fibers to make these fingers happy... I've done gone and spoiled them rotten!! 😅🧶

p.s. I made that bouquet too!! My bridesmaids and I had a bouquet-making party with flowers from , and everyone got to keep theirs afterwards! It's one of my favorite details 🖤

Let's talk about stitch markers! What's the craziest thing you've ever used for a stitch marker? Much to my mother's chagrin (sorryy ) I've been using coke tabs as my stitch markers for this project! We collect them as a family (For what? I don't know... wind chimes one day?) and since we have so many, it just made sense.. 🤷♀️

👰♀️ As of today, we are officially ONE MONTH away y'all! It is countdown time!! This pretty baby is getting her first bath today so we can see how much that yarn is going to stretch and what the length is looking like now.. (because: gauge swatch? what gauge swatch?) ( ) 🙈
I'm also hoping to get the cat hair, coffee stains, hot cocoa stains, grass stains, chocolate stains, and softball field dirt stains out... (because: life....) 🤷♀️

🔔 the sleeves are where I want them, and now I'm playing with ruching on the sides! It's all safety pinned now, but I'm liking the general idea! My friend Sarah came to the rescue this morning and gave me a bunch of ideas of how to accomplish the look I'm going for, so that will be the next step ...besides finishing the skirt portion... 💁♀️ ...AND weaving in all the ends... 😭 1.5 months to go, and I might just pull this thing off y'all!!!
