Bosque County law enforcement attend training on helping domestic abuse victims The Bosque County law enforcement came together over the weekend to attend a training on helping domestic abuse victims. They heard stories from survivors.

This is exactly why one of the topics we instructed on is “The Nexus between Animal Abuse and Violence Against Humans”.
We know that in abusive relationships if the three following are in the home, there is a high likelihood that the abuse is happening to ALL of them!
Abuse, Pets, Children.

This is why discussing “Safety Plans” with our victims of domestic abuse is so very important—one of the many topics we discuss in our trainings.
Protective orders are made of paper, they can't by themselves stop the abuse.

Authorities say a 29-year-old man is dead after he reportedly broke into a home with a hammer and a knife before being fatally shot by a woman who had a protection order against him.

This case has nothing to do with the color of his skin. It has everything to do with an abusive personality and being a man of power and control. Remember the Joe Paterno case years ago? Skin color means nothing here. Violence is unacceptable regardless of race.
