Kick It for Karsyn is collaborating with the Community Foundation of Wabash County to create a scholarship in Karsyn’s memory.

All proceeds from this year’s event will be awarded to a graduating classmate(s) of Karsyn’s from Northfield High School.

Hi everyone! We hope everybody is doing well and you are finally getting out to enjoy the nice weather.
The time has finally come that a lot of amazing young adults are getting ready for graduation and finishing up some of the best days of their lives. It is still hard for us to believe that Karsyn would be getting ready to graduate. To the graduating class of 2021, be proud of who you are and all that you have accomplished. We have tearfully and joyfully watched you grow into some of the greatest, most deserving individuals that anyone could ever ask for. To the special friends of Karsyn that have kept Karsyn and especially Linette in your thoughts through the year’s, it has been greatly appreciated. It has meant the world to her and I both. Our kickball events are just some of the greatest memories we have of you all and those memories will last a lifetime.
So with that being said, THANK YOU! We are looking forward to seeing what the future holds for all of Karsyn’s friends and her fellow classmates, THE CLASS OF 2021.

Hello everyone, I hope all of you are staying healthy and are doing well considering the unfortunate situation that we are all experiencing right now.

Linette and I have decided that due to these uncertain times and the amount of people that are out of work right now, we are going to cancel the Kick It for Karsyn event that was coming up in June. We really hate that we need to make this decision but feel it is for the best.
We can’t ask you to give up what is currently being taken away from you. Your hard earned money. We have always enjoyed and appreciated every single one of you that made this event so special through the last 5 years!
Karsyn’s legacy to help others will continue in all of our own ways. There is proof, that a lot of you are doing that as we speak by making masks and helping people stay safe. Remember, because of you, over $100,000 was raised and sent to the research lab at Riley Hospital in Karsyn’s honor and memory.
From our family to you, stay healthy and stay safe. Thank you for your support and for keeping Karsyn in your memories.

Hi everyone! We hope that you all have had a safe and memorable summer! Our family has been enjoying the pool and fishing when we can. (We love being outdoors)
Linette and I are wanting to do something special next summer with the Kickball tournament that Karsyn started and loved so much.
With the help of our family and friends, we want to hold a “Grand Finale” kickball event like in the years past. There is one special twist to this event. Next fall, Karsyn’s classmates are going into their SENIOR YEAR! The class of 2021. Holy cow that doesn’t even seem possible! Linette and I have watched this special group of kids grow up into amazing young adults with some pretty bright futures.
With that being said, what we have always wanted to do is set up a scholarship in Karsyn’s name and award it to a student that would be graduating in her class and pursuing a degree in the medical field.
So, ALL PROCEEDS from the kickball event would go to a student/students at Northfield High School graduating in 2021. Details to follow.
Karsyn without a doubt would be glowing knowing that she helped give back to her classmates that always treated her so well. I will post further information later about the event and about how to qualify for the scholarship.
Please let us know if this event is something that you would like to be a part of. I know it’s still far away but it’s really just a blink of an eye!

This is an awesome group that we encourage you to look at. We know first hand the struggle that families go through. Thanks to many people like yourselves and a group like this, families can have some of their worries lifted.

Congratulations to Kassie Burchett! Graduating class of 2018. Kassie will be attending Butler University this fall to major in Biochemistry and will pursue a pre med track to one day become Dr. Kassandra Burchett! Kassie’s dream is to continue the fight against cancer that took her little sister Karsyn two and a half years ago.
Congratulations Kassie, we are all so proud of you!

We hope everyone is enjoying their spring now that it has finally arrived. Wanted to wish everyone a happy and safe Memorial Weekend. Keep those that have been lost, in your thoughts and remember why they meant so much to you. If you are feeling down, look to the sky and know that you are being looked down upon and one day will see them again.

To all that supported the Kick It For Karsyn kickball event.
It is with great sorrow that we will no longer be having our event that meant so much to Karsyn and our family. You all have had big hearts and been generous in your own ways. From the very beginning, Karsyn wanted to be a part of this event. The love and laughter she brought with her is something that we will always hold onto.

Karsyn’s legacy will continue in other ways that will help sick children in the future. Our plans are to continue her legacy with the full support of the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation in the future.
Many thanks to all of our sponsors and participating teams for your support through the last four years. Without you and your involvement, we couldn’t have contributed anything to the Jeff Gordon Children’s Foundation and the Jeff Gordon Pediatric Cancer Research Lab at Riley Hospital in Indianapolis Indiana in Karsyn’s honor. Something that Karsyn and our family was so proud of. Our family will be forever grateful to our friends and acquaintances for honoring a very missed angel. Thank you all for standing by us.
