Parenting Special Needs Childern

“You have your hands full.”

I hear it everywhere I go.

Because, yes, my kids act like kids,
they’re loud in places where people would prefer them quiet,
and someone is constantly misbehaving, melting down, or fighting with a sibling.

It’s true that one child always needs something,
and I’m constantly on my feet.

I hear, “Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom. Mom” so many times in a day, it’s like white noise to me at a certain point.

I constantly wonder if I'm doing a good enough job.

Most days, I can't wait till bedtime.
I’m always tired and forgetful.

But I chose these kids,
and this life.

And I’d choose every bit of it again and again.
I love my kids so much.

So, my hands may be full,
but my heart is full, too.

And full hands are a blessing,
a privilege, even,
because thank goodness they aren’t empty.

Epic Moment. My two younger Kids Sayraya and Daymen. HAVE come such a long in The last year they have lived with me. Sayraya has been working On Fractions at School. Teacher Sent me this picture Showing Sayraya got a 100%. On a test..:) So Proud of her.

Its so hard to find play dates. Kids these days are so judgmental and have no patients to get to know someone whos special needs. Mom and dad can't fill that void.

Its difficult when you have a child who dosent recondnize social promts from others. They get hurt emotionally constantly. Its also hard to teach them to be grateful because there so oppionated and we want them to get out how they fill but at the same time filter too.
