Are you ready to meet your new School Resource Officer? That’s right! Deputy Simons will be joined by Deputy Sayedi!

Deputy Sayedi has served in the jail and patrol divisions. And this year begins her journey as a School Resource Officer.

Deputy Sayedi said of becoming an SRO:

“I want to be a School Resource Officer because I want to make a positive impact on students while helping create a safe and supportive school environment. I want to build trust with students and be someone they feel comfortable turning to when they need help.”

School is back tomorrow!

Our School Resource Officers (yep, plural, we have a new SRO to introduce to you this week!) are looking forward to a new school year and welcoming back students!

Whether it’s greeting you at morning drop-off or afternoon pick-up, helping out in classes, or being a mentor in the hallways, we are proud to be a part of your school.

A reminder to our commuters tomorrow morning, please stay alert and slow down in school zones.

The VFW Stride While You Walk/Run fundraiser, a National Honor Society project, was a great success! Jaslyn Scott was honored to present a check on Saturday for $1,800 to VFW Post 8071 in support of their new building project. NHS is proud to give back to our local veterans and help make a difference in our community. Thank you to everyone who supported this effort.
