Behind every beautiful forest classroom is a great deal of thoughtful planning.

Months of paperwork.
Policies and procedures.
Licensing requirements.
Site visits.
Curriculum design.
And countless small decisions.

Every detail is being created with one goal in mind:
To build the preschool I wished existed for my own child.

A place where children spend their days outdoors, follow their curiosity, and learn through meaningful play.

Neptune’s Forest is being built slowly and intentionally—and I cannot wait to welcome families into this space.

Join Neptune’s Forest and The Shared Motherhood for a cozy outdoor Storytime Playdate at Lake Lawson/Lake Smith Natural Area!

This special gathering is designed for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, and their caregivers to connect through stories, sensory play, nature exploration, and open-ended outdoor fun.

Families will enjoy a relaxed morning filled with read-aloud stories, creative sensory invitations, songs, and opportunities to play and connect in nature together.

At Neptune’s Forest, we believe children learn best through meaningful experiences, movement, imagination, and connection with the natural world.

This event is a beautiful opportunity to slow down, build community, and experience the joy of child-led outdoor play.

Come dressed for outdoor play and exploration. We recommend bringing a blanket, water, sunscreen, and clothing that can get a little messy.
