KARA KINNEY
We are excited to recognize Kara Kinney as our May Volunteer of the Month. Kara has been a dedicated volunteer over the past few years and has helped with various events throughout the school year. She is a consistent volunteer who has been particularly helpful during Staff Appreciation Week and the PAES Book Fair. We are grateful for the support and positive energy Kara brings to PAES.
INHA TAKHFISSET
Inha Takhfisset has stepped up as a consistent volunteer this school year. Next year, Inha will take on a key volunteer role by helping with the communications team, including social media, the website, and the newsletter. She will also serve as the lead for managing concessions at events. Inha has shared many valuable insights and creative ideas this year, including ways to increase sponsorships to help offset event costs.
CHRISTINE FIRGER
Christine Firger has been an incredible asset to the PTA team as the PTA Membership Lead. Thanks to her dedication and hard work coordinating membership, the Princess Anne Elementary PTA received the 2025–2026 Cardinal Award from the Virginia Beach Council of PTAs. This award recognizes PTAs that report at least 75% of the previous year’s membership to the Virginia State PTA by December 1.
