The visit was way more for me than for him.

My 10-year-old is at his very first Boy Scout campout without us. Parents were told that the boys would be fine, but we could pop in and check in on them if we wanted, as long as we were quick.
He didn’t even notice me for a few minutes, and then he was too busy learning to tie a knot to really visit, but I offered him some additional snacks and some warmer clothes. He glanced, said no thanks, and went back to his friends.

Although I’m a tad sad that he didn’t need me, I am super proud that he didn’t need me. 💗
