provides services to include preschool education, literacy support, workforce coordination, mentoring and parent/family engagement that will prepare children and families for school and beyond. MHK was awarded a Head Start grant to serve the city of Virginia Beach and counties in the East Virginia region of Virginia. MHK will provide comprehensive child development services for children between the ages of three and five; including children with special needs and disabilities.

Lindell Wallace is a distinguished educator, administrator, and community leader whose career spans more than four decades of service to students, schools, and communities.
He served as teacher, assistant principal, principal, and Assistant Superintendent of Middle Schools for Virginia Beach Public Schools, leading major improvements in student achievement, discipline, and school accreditation.
As principal of Williamston Middle School, he helped raise test scores from the 50th percentile to 89 percent in four years and earned multiple Administrator of the Year honors. As we gather for The 6th Annual Somewhere Over The Rainbow Gala, Mr. Wallace represents visionary leadership and the belief that every child can learn, grow, and succeed.
Dr. Rosalynn L. Sanderlin is a transformational educator, mentor, and community servant whose career reflects faith, excellence, and a deep commitment to helping others soar.
With more than 34 years in education, she has served as dean of students, instructional specialist, assistant principal, principal, coordinator, and central office administrator.
Her leadership helped Cradock Middle School achieve full accreditation for the first time in its history and helped I.C. Norcom High School reclaim full accreditation.
A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., The Links, Incorporated, and St. Luke AME Church, Dr. Sanderlin continues to serve with purpose.
