“I’ll love you forever, I’ll like you for always, as long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be.” I cannot believe baby girl is 24 today! Help me wish my little twin a happy birthday. This is her first birthday without us. She’s in mourning. So are we. But she’s living her best life in Guam. See you soon, Cayla 🎉🎉!

Words cannot describe what these last three days in Portland, Oregon have meant. I was asked to be the keynote speaker for the national OHSA Director’s Conference… an organization that serves under-privileged children and families in the topic of burnout (something I know a little too well). These directors face traumatic and troubling situations every day. It was my honor to pour into them and help them refuel from the work they do.

This was the first business trip Shaun got to accompany me on, and it was a really sweet time of reconnection for us, too. I love the work that I do and I love that I get to share this with him. He was my photographer, videographer, and ran my book table. I am so thankful for this man. He is my true ride or die. ❤️

To be able to be my authentic self and share God‘s goodness in my life in a non-Christian setting was everything. So many people came up to me after both days I spoke to tell me how my spiritual journey encouraged them. Wow. You never know what seeds God is planting, so just speak. Don’t overthink it.

Oh, and Portland is gorgeous! It felt great to breathe clean, crisp air and marvel at God‘s beautiful creation. I will be back!

Today is the day! The pinnacle of the Christian faith. The day we find all our hope in. Jesus is risen! Happy Resurrection Sunday! 🙌🏽 And… my how our family is shrinking! 😫

The story never gets old. Where would we be without Jesus’s sacrifice on the cross?  I am undone every time I remember the scorn, shame, suffering, and separation from God He bore for me. I am forever grateful. 🙌🏽 I love you, Jesus.
