Some treasures take time to recognize.

I’ve been doing a bit of reflecting lately.

What began as a simple look back over one year of podcasting became something I wasn’t expecting.

I began recognizing things that had been there long before I understood their value.

Qualities I had questioned.

Strengths I had sometimes taken for granted.

Pieces of myself that looked different when I stopped seeing them through the eyes of others…
and began seeing them through the loving eyes of Father-God.

And it made me wonder...

What might you be able to see from where you’re standing today…
that you simply couldn’t have recognized before?

Maybe there’s a quality you’ve always considered just part of who you are.

Maybe there’s something about yourself you’ve questioned because others didn’t understand it.

Or perhaps you can look back now and recognize God’s fingerprints on parts of your design you once overlooked.

Sometimes the treasures we discover aren’t new at all.

We’re simply able to recognize them differently now.

And perhaps there’s an invitation in that for each of us.

Rather than always looking at who we still need to become…

What if…
we allowed Father-God to show us more clearly the woman He has been faithfully forming all along? ❤️

Lately, I've been thinking about how easy it is to measure our lives by the assignments we've carried.

A career.

A season of raising children.

Caring for aging parents.

Building something new.

Walking through unexpected change.

And when those assignments shift, it's not unusual to quietly wonder...

"Who am I now?"

Maybe today is simply an invitation to pause for a moment.

Not to rush toward an answer...
but to notice the woman God has been faithfully forming through every season of your life.

I have a feeling that what He's been building in you is far more beautiful than you realize.

Lately, I’ve been reflecting on how much of life is lived in seasons.

Some seasons ask us to build.

Others ask us to let go.

Some invite us into new beginnings.

Others quietly close chapters we never imagined ending.

And somewhere in the middle of all that change, many of us find ourselves asking a question we never expected...

“Who am I now?”

What if, before trying to answer that question, you simply paused long enough to notice something else?

Take a moment today to look back over the different seasons of your life.

Not to focus on what you’ve accomplished...
but to notice the qualities God has been faithfully growing in you through each one.

His work in your life has never been limited to your assignment.

Perhaps that’s something worth carrying with you today.
