Changing your thoughts can influence your behavior through various mechanisms.

Neuroscience has shown that our thoughts, beliefs, and intentions have a tangible impact on the brain's structure and function, which, in turn, can shape our actions.

Here's how changing your thoughts can lead to changes in behavior according to neuroscience:

Neuroplasticity: The brain's ability to change and adapt, underpins this process. When you intentionally change your thoughts, engage in new cognitive patterns, or learn new behaviors, it can lead to the formation of new neural connections and the strengthening of existing ones.

Cognitive-Behavioral Loop: The brain operates in a continuous feedback loop between thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. When you change your thoughts, it can lead to shifts in your emotional responses and subsequently affect your behavior.

For example, if you change negative thought patterns to more positive ones, you are likely to experience more positive emotions, which can influence your behavior in a constructive way.

Brain Circuitry: Different thoughts and behaviors activate specific neural circuits in the brain. When you consistently engage in new thought patterns or behaviors, you can strengthen the associated brain circuits.

To illustrate, practicing mindfulness meditation can lead to changes in brain regions associated with attention, emotion regulation, and self-awareness.

I'm so in love with our beloved brain. I will share more if you are interested.

I believe bridging science with spirituality can have several benefits and implications. In fact, I found robust empirical studies that documented it.

I studied for years how the neural and psychological mechanisms underlying spirituality can be scientifically explained.

By embracing the invaluable insights of science, we can better understand fundamental aspects of human experience, promote dialogue between different disciplines, and provide further resources to counselors and practitioners, informing and enhancing therapeutic approaches.

Also, during times of personal challenges, such as illness, divorce, or relocation, we need coping mechanisms that help us navigate such transitions in a healthy way. Spirituality may play a significant role in how we cope. Understanding its neurobiological basis can empower our personal development and transformation.

If you would like to learn more about how this can help your transformational journey, DM me.

Are you mentally and emotionally fully embracing this globalized world?

You may want to cover the sun with one finger, but it is still there! And so is globalization.

There are many factors accelerating this growing trend, such as increased migration. Virtually every nation has been influenced by immigrant families.

Also, our information era has made the unimaginable happen, we have transcended time and distance by the mere touch of a computer keyboard or a mobile phone.

This international interconnectedness has fostered small and medium-sized organizations to venture across frontiers. Exciting and challenging at the same time.

Having the proper mindset will be paramount more than ever in the times to come. Adapt to the changing times to ensure your path is full of joy, and you can navigate it with ease and grace.

What are you going to incorporate into your day today to include a foreign flavor?

How many languages are there in the world? The answer is not as easy as you think. Where do you draw the line between a language and a dialect?

There are geographically neighboring countries that may not understand each other’s language, such as Iraq with Arabic and Iran with Farsi. And there are other countries with very small linguistic differences but significant variances in terms of their history, customs, and governments, such as Sweden and Norway, Indonesia and Malaysia, or Argentina and Bolivia.

Still, there are countries that understand each other perfectly well, but they use two different language writing systems, such as the Serbians and Croatians.

Not to mention, those who live in China, with 302 languages spoken throughout the country, many of which are mutually unintelligible forms of speech.

Overall, according to the researchers at Ethnologue, there are 7,117 languages spoken today in the world! Mandarin, Hindi, English, and Spanish are the leading languages. What is the message here? The days before the Tower of Babel, when everybody spoke the same tongue, are long gone!

Every language is a window into the culture, the environmental setting in which it is spoken, and most importantly, the human mind.

What language and culture are you ready to explore?

We can provide resources to help people improve their living experiences, but it is up to them to enable their healing process by becoming aware of how they created the “world” they perceive to live in.

Specifically, your world comprises visible and invisible elements that coexist in time and space and is based on how it appears to you per your beliefs and emotions.

Your brain detects all of your environment; however, it considers as its “reality” only your personal interpretation of that environment, aka the energies or emotions you constantly emit, and thus defines your biology based upon them to help you survive.

Therefore, we all have two types of inner worlds. One is a dualistic world based on our beliefs and emotions (good-bad, rich-poor; young-old), and a non-dualistic one based on the survival principle, which is indisputable: we survive, or we perish.

Our destiny depends on how willing we are to become aware of what “reality” we are living based on our beliefs and emotions.

Jung said perfectly: “When an inner situation is not made conscious, it happens outside as fate.”

What world do you choose to live in?

We are all equipped to learn the codes hidden within the subconscious of every culture, if and only if we ask the right questions rather than listening to what people just say.

We all apply a subconscious meaning to any given object, relationship, or image strongly influenced by the culture in which we were raised.

Even when we all know that cultures differ from one another, these differences are based not on the facts or information received, but rather on how they process or perceive this information or data.

There is undeniably a strong connection between learning and emotion; without the latter, the former is impossible.

The lived experience and its accompanying emotion create an imprint. Once this imprint occurs, it strongly conditions our thought processes on a subconscious level and shapes our future actions and behaviors.

Imprints have a tremendous impact on why people do what they do. Therefore, do one favor for yourself and never ever take whatever others do to you personally.

Answer the bell! No matter what you are going through, answer the bell!

I am in the middle of the tornado, getting my business established. But I have committed to following through on every aspect of my journey.

Sometimes unexpected challenges have the potential to derail your mission. Do not allow that to happen!

Despite whatever headwinds you may face always stay true to your journey.

What headwinds are you facing on your path to achieving your life mission goals?

What if the necessary step to finally experience the peace and joy you desperately seek cannot be found but by way of forgiveness?

You have full permission to show up with your most honest and vulnerable thoughts and emotions. However, it is in your best interest to open your heart to the possibility that forgiveness is one of the most healing, crucial and beautiful gifts from your life experience.

Remember that forgiveness and reconciliation are not always a package deal.

It is true that when we are deeply hurt by someone else, forgiveness can feel like another hard thing we have to do on top of trying to heal. However, once you experience it from your heart and soul, you will inevitably feel free from the burdens of bitterness, resentment, anger, and retaliation.

Decide that the one who hurt you cannot decide what you do with your memories. Forgiveness helps us heal our hurting hearts.

When we refuse to allow forgiveness to flow through us to other people, it becomes a heavy weight that can cause anxiety, fear, depression, and angst that no human should bear.

Forgiveness is not dependent on another person making this right. It is between you and yourself.

What if it is possible to move on and let go, carrying only the meaningful lessons from the experience?

I was once asked what my "secret sauce" was to lead such a successful multi-ethnic, multi-racial team in a highly volatile work environment. Was it having the courage to act with conviction? Or having a clear vision? Was it passion or good judgment, instincts, or humility?

All of the elements mentioned were vital for an aligned work environment. However, my first and foremost quality was humility.

As leaders, we must perceive changes and respond fast. The responsiveness of our team is a product of embracing diversity, whereby we humbly accept that our own perspectives need to be broadened by others.

Humility does not mean we are quiet or lack the courage to say what we think. On the contrary, courage and humility complement one another rather than contradict each other.

I have been humbled by being down and out; thus, today, I have more courage to face life's inevitable challenges by respectfully speaking up when I can't entirely agree and resisting safe conformity when I perceive a need for change.

My commitment to serving entails the humbling realization that I am interdependent with others.

What is your "secret sauce" for your success?
