Last Friday, Heritage High School proudly dedicated its football stadium as Tuttle Stadium, honoring the life and legacy of founding principal John Tuttle.

In the presence of Mr. Tuttle's family, district and state leaders, former colleagues, students, and community members, the Heritage community came together to celebrate the man who helped shape the school from its very beginning. The ceremony served as both a tribute and a thank you to a leader whose vision, dedication, and belief in students helped establish the foundation of Panther Pride.

Now, every time the lights shine on Friday night and students take the field, Tuttle Stadium will serve as a lasting reminder of the man who helped lay the foundation for the Heritage community. Though John Tuttle is no longer with us, his legacy lives on in the traditions he helped create, the lives he touched, and the generations of Panthers who will call Heritage home.

📍 THE DROP-IN | Inside Our Schools. One Visit at a Time 📍

Every school has a story. Each week, we'll drop a pin and take you inside Brevard Public Schools to meet the students, teachers, and staff making our schools special.

This week, our journey took us to:

📍DeLaura Middle School Where students debated how to survive on a deserted island, explored spices under microscopes, practiced music fundamentals, and put their civics knowledge to work with thoughtful questions during a student-led panel discussion.

📍Coquina Elementary School Where VPK students proudly shared a book they created just for Dr. Rendell, kindergarteners celebrated reading and creativity, and teachers were recognized for helping students achieve significant learning gains.

📍Titusville High School Where students sharpened their interview skills, planned school traditions through Student Government, and filled the halls with music during orchestra rehearsal.

🗺 See where we drop in next week.

A storybook start to a brand new adventure! 📚 Today, our newest learners began an exciting chapter as they stepped into kindergarten for the very first time. At Quest Elementary School, Dr. Rendell helped make the day even more special by stopping by to read a first-day story and welcome students as they started their BPS journey.

💚 Share your first-day-of-kindergarten photos in the comments and help us welcome the Brevard Public Schools Class of 2039.💛
