Path to Plate: 🥕Carrots 🥕 - June 2026
Store Well Waste Less
🥕Carrots can be stored in a closed plastic bag or container in a refrigerator (32°F - 50°F) for up to 2 weeks.
🥕Remove the leafy green tops, through which carrots can lose moisture, before storing.
🥕If you would like to use the green tops in a soup or stir-fry, store them separately.
🥕Wash the carrots just before you prepare them.
🥕Be sure to keep baby carrots in their original bag and store in your refrigerator.

When you’re living with diabetes, it’s not about cutting foods out. It’s about building meals that work for your body.
Using the Diabetes Plate:
• Fill half your plate with non-starchy vegetables
• Fill one-quarter with lean protein
• Fill the last quarter with quality carbs—like potatoes (yes, potatoes!)
It’s a flexible way to enjoy the foods you love while still supporting your health. See more meal ideas and tips at https://bit.ly/4tqUhoA.
