Monday Marvelling! This morning I was struck once again by the love and grace of God. I have done nothing to deserve it; it's not only been freely given to me but poured out abundantly again and again! And yet, some days I find myself going about my routine, working through tasks and checking them off my to-do list, without a second thought to the love and grace afforded me. Yep, I'm living in my own world, focused on the things I want to do. All the while, I'm missing the people God is placing in my path to love and serve. Whether it's helping the mom in the store loaded down with items and little ones, stopping to greet the mature brother in Christ that is all alone, taking a moment to look the lost in the eye and let them know they are seen, or offering a smile to the one who is frazzled or angry, God is inviting me constantly to enter into His love and offer it to others. So why do I often seem to be complacent and apathetic; instead of truly loving toward others? The days that my eyes are cast on Him more than my To-do list, I find I slow-down, I approach the day differently, and I am usually left in awe of His love for me. I can't help but marvel at His generosity. And in response, I find I'm often more concerned about others than myself. I'm often more aware of those around me. So will you join me today? Take a moment and marvel at the love and grace poured out from our Lord. So many of my sessions over the last two weeks have revolved around the question, “At the end of your life on earth what matters most?” And almost always the response is to “love those in our life.” And now the tragic loss of precious life in my hometown—the loss of precious children and heroic teachers, as well as the pain and heartbreak of friends and an entire community—reminds me and all of us that nothing is more precious than loving those in our midst.

Please continue to pray for Uvalde. Please give if you can. And please love one another. May the grace and peace of God surround us all.
