S26 APUSH with Greta Marchesi: “In APUSH during the spring, we divide into two ‘tracks.’ One focuses on student preparation for the College Board AP US History exam and the other asks students to research the historical aspects of a contemporary issue that they are passionate about and create a podcast on that topic to submit to the New York Times podcast competition. This year we had the following submissions:
Riley McManus- One Giant Leap for Womankind
Zed Choi- The Radium Fad
Cy Foer and Eli Peterson- From Kings to Smart Phones: The History of Chess
Silas Koonce and Colin Ferrier- Christian Nationalism in the U.S.
Hadynn Sund- We have Lionfish and Bananas: Invasive Species and International Trade”
