Another Christian University? We agree… there are a number of great Christian college options out there. Our faculty is loaded with undergraduate and/or advanced degrees from excellent Christian schools. For many students, traditional campus programs and experiences are absolutely the right decision. Do you desire engaging Bible and ministry programs AND real experience on the front line of ministry? How important is a format that intentionally weaves the learning with your immediate challenges? When we set out to create ACU, we began with several core questions that focused the design elements for every part of what we do. Who are ACU students? What are they called to do and where are they called to do it? What will they need to fulfill that calling at a high level? What will be true about their contextual reality while they are learning in ACU programs? How could we deliver a program that welds the student’s individual context to robust course objectives? It is critically important at ACU to honor and align with the God-designed front-line realities of each student and ministry we engage. It takes a bit more work, a lot of attentiveness and a high level of commitment to pull it off, but we take responsibility to lead the process of honoring the Lord in everything at every level. Our leadership team honed our proprietary Learning Blueprint model over the past two decades, in a wide range of courses and contexts, with the full range of student learning styles and instructor delivery styles. It stages students to achieve high levels of measurable competency with an immediate boost in impact for their front-line ministry. Dynamic Faculty. Our faculty is loaded with professional ministry experience that adds depth to their exceptional academic credentials. This is absolutely crucial to translating biblical principles into functioning skill. They are coaches and mentors, not content drones… and our courses are designed for exactly that approach. Sustainable… Globally. Every aspect of ACU’s design, from administrative infrastructure to student engagement and course delivery is crafted for economic and cultural sustainability at both the micro (local) and macro (global) levels. The financial ecosystem is designed to thrive small and scale big while seeding value to the people and organizations God brings into the process. The operating budget is fueled by tuition, not donations, so donations can be used to take new ground rather than to establish and maintain capital-intensive infrastructure. Our unique approach and partnership with other aligned organizations allows us to match tuition and costs to local economies, making the same dynamic educational approach accessible to those that would not otherwise have access. We intend to break down the economic and linguistic barriers to providing exceptional Christian education across the globe.
