Learning came to life in our own backyard today! Students in Mr. Creary and Ms. Nigito's classes visited the Environmental Learning Center to explore our local waterways and habitats, connecting classroom learning to the natural world around them.

We’re thankful Mother Nature cooperated so our curious explorers could enjoy a day of discovery!

What a wonderful opportunity to build appreciation for the places and wildlife that make our community special.

📚✨ From eager listeners to proud authors and illustrators—our primary students are bringing learning to life!

Our kindergarten friends enjoyed a special read-aloud with Moonshot, our pal from The Learning Alliance! Meanwhile, our second graders became authors and illustrators of their own books, capturing their learning about ancient civilizations. They even had the chance to teach Moonshot about text features and the Great Wall of China! 🏯✏️

These experiences pair the joy of learning with strong instructional practices—giving students opportunities to listen, create, and share what they know. ❤️🖤

What a great weekend for our VBE tribe! ❤️🖤

Our teachers and staff always SHOW UP for kids—whether they’re cheering them on at an event or taking learning into our own backyard with the Audubon Advocates. They know that the moments we share beyond the classroom help build the strong relationships that make our tribe thrive.

What a beautiful day to bring science education to life in our own backyard! ☀️🛶

Our 5th grade Audubon Advocates took to the water in kayaks to explore the Indian River Lagoon. With every paddle, they had the chance to observe the habitat they’ve been learning about up close and see why caring for this special place matters.
