Students in Mr. Montez's Government class have been studying Political Philosophers Dialogue. They completed the unit by breaking into small groups in each class and examining different perspectives on power, authority, individual rights, and government. Historical figures were divided into three groups -- Enlightenment Thinkers, Founding Fathers, and Later Leaders -- and students chose someone from one of those groups to present to the class. Through role-play and discussion, students applied historical knowledge while practicing critical thinking, collaboration, communication, and public speaking. The activity provided an engaging way for students to compare political philosophies and demonstrate their understanding beyond traditional classroom instruction.
