The golf season has officially concluded, and both our boys' and girls' teams have so much to celebrate!
Throughout the season, every player demonstrated remarkable dedication and consistent improvement on the course. Many team members achieved personal bests, showcasing steady progress from the first tee-off to the final hole.
Our girls' team finished 4th in the district, narrowly missing advancement by just a few strokes. A standout performance saw one player miss the regional cut by only 2 strokes—highlighting the competitive nature of the field and the determination of our players until the very end.
Meanwhile, the boys' team wrapped up their season with a strong showing, finishing 7th in the district. Their resilience and skill shone in every tournament they competed in.
We are incredibly proud of both teams for their sportsmanship, growth, and unwavering determination throughout the season. With such momentum, we can't wait to see what next year will bring!

Go VMS Band! 🤩
The 7th and 8th grade band students took part in the UIL Concert & Sight Reading Assessment.
The Symphonic Band achieved scores of 122 in their stage performance and 222 in Sight Reading, earning an overall rating of Excellent! We pushed these students to grow this year, and we are proud of their progress.
The Honors Band received a superior rating of 1 from all three stage judges and all three sight-reading judges. This is the highest accolade a group can achieve, also known as the Sweepstakes Award.

Senior Bassoonist Jacob Olson has been accepted into the Bassoon Studio at Stephen F Austin University. He received a music scholarship and will pursue a Music Education degree in the Fall of 2025. Congratulations, Jacob, we are proud of you.

What a Rockstar! 🤩
Huge congratulations to Tenzly Martin for breaking the season record for RBI's previously held by Kaylee Davis. She currently has 48 RBI's for the season.....and counting!

The VHS Advanced Choir competed in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest & celebrated an incredible achievement. Despite being a SMALL group, they earned an overall rating of 1 for their concert performance, securing their very first UIL competition plaque!
In the sight-reading portion, they received one 1 and two 2 ratings—marking their best sight-reading performance to date and bringing them tantalizingly close to an overall sweepstakes award.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to everyone who supports our choir program and these talented, hardworking students!
