Wondering what the hell is going on with stock/crypto markets today? Yes, good old American arrogance at work: When Biden prohibited NVIDIA from exporting its top of the line AI chips to China (in Sept 2022), the DeepSeek team had no choice but to develop their AI with cheaper chips…and, as a direct result, now sell better quality access for 1/30th the cost of ChatGPT. So efficient that it will easily run on all the new Apple M-chip devices. On top of that, China has a strict “Open Source” policy for these things (so that they can be checked for safety) which means that every other nation that wants great AI can do so without checking in with the USA. HaHa…and Musk can kiss his own AI dominance dreams goodbye!!!
I will continue to harp on "Come'on America, ignore the CCP aspect of China and simple find ways to work WITH them instead of acting like we have all the power." We will get to #2 quickly enough without continuing to waste $1T on Army, Navy, AirForce.
