“This kid dialed 911 telling the dispatcher he was running away from home after an argument with his mother. This officer arrived talked to the kid and went into his bedroom which was empty outside of a deflated blowup bed. The young man essentially slept on the floor.

The officer encouraged the boy to stay home. The child’s mother facing a tough financial hardship. The officer left and soon returning with a bed, a television and a game system. The child was elated beyond words. Not all angels wear wings! Thank you officer!!!!” ❤️❤️❤️

The Lovejoy Technology Academy High Shool Boys basketball team won second place in the North Green Spartan Classic on Friday, December 9, 2022. Shantez Holliday, a senior, won unanimously for All Tournament Team Player. Also elected to the All Tournament Team was Jamal Brown Jr. and Pierre Lucas.

Halloween at "tha Joy"! Thanks so much to all who participated to make this day a success for our students: Stites Township, ADI, the Crow's Nest, Brooklyn Fire Department, Village of Brooklyn, Stites Township Park District, SPARKS, Board of Education #188, and Lovejoy School Courtesy Committee. A big shout out to our high school students who played a big part in helping with the little ones.
