Had a full-circle moment this weekend when one of my former athletes from New Jersey came down to train with me. I started coaching him when he was in sixth grade, and now he’s getting ready for his senior year of high school.

This is exactly what I mean when I say, “It’s more than basketball. It’s family.”

The Manalapan Stallions were the first program I ever ran and truly laid the foundation for what would eventually become Shevy’s Hoop Haven. To have one of those athletes come back years later and get in the gym with me again was pretty special.

Grateful for where it all started, the relationships built along the way, and everything that has grown from it.

It’s more than basketball. It’s family.

The player starts with a ball-handling sequence, hits the reaction light, then reacts to the color to determine which finish they have to execute.
