Have you walked at Hockinson Meadows Community Park? It’s one of my family’s favorite places for a mellow stroll and some nature connection. There are up to 2 miles of flat, wide, and stroller-friendly trails here. It’s a great place for birdwatching because of all the natural habitats buffers maintained inside the park.

Whipple Creek is a local treasure, and yesterday we checked out its stroller-friendliness! For my newly published book “Strolling and Wheeling,” I re-scouted this hike through a low-barrier and wheels-friendly lens. Today, I took puppy Dexter on a ride to see how he liked it. It was a little bumpy, but thankfully there wasn’t too much horse poop or mud!

The park has a complicated network of trails, and only some are stroller- or kid- friendly.
