WSU-V Human Development Club

Apologies for the Rick roll, but since I have your attention, we are having a grad party for the HD Program grads! All grads are welcome (and encouraged) to attend regardless of major!! It will be on Monday, April 27th, from 12:30-2:30, in VDEN 129 & 130! Come swing by for some free food and drinks!! If you are graduating we’ll have supplies to decorate your cap if you want to make it awesome if you’d like!!

Hey y’all I just wanted to share that we are having our last Coffee and Conversation this Thursday, March 26th at 4pm, with Doctor Nanette Thrush in VMMC 217! Come swing by if you want to participate in a discussion on the history of protest art or simply have some free time and would like a cup of coffee and a snack! Look forward to seeing you there!

Hey divas! The HD Club would like to invite you to our Valentines Mixer on the 10th from 1-3pm on the third floor of the VUB Building!!Come hang out, eat snacks, win some prizes, and if you’re feeling reckless come make some arts and crafts! Can’t wait to see y’all there!!

Today, October 1st, from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. in VMMC 001, the Human Development Club is hosting its October Coffee & Conversations event! Our guest speaker will be Dr. Kory Floyd, the new Chair of the Human Development Department. Visiting from Pullman, Dr. Floyd’s role oversees WSU’s HD Department systemwide, and we’re graciously honored to be collaborating with him on this event!

Today’s Coffee & Conversations will provide an opportunity to learn more about his previous work as a mental health counselor, his current work at WSU, and his research in the field of human development, which has recently focused on the communication of affection. Please join us to ask him any burning questions, get to know him better, and get a free donut, cup of coffee, or other snack and refreshments. We hope to see you there!

Today, 9/17, from 2-3 p.m. in VUB 225, the Human Development Club is having our first Coffee & Conversations event of the year! Our guest speaker will be a crowd-favorite HD instructor, Dr. Marcelo Diversi. This will be a chance to learn more about his work and research in the field of human development, ask him those burning questions, and get to know him better!
